Taking a little bit of detour from my DIY tutorials series because my scheduling has already been out of whack anyway so might as well write some cosplay life update while I still have a little bit of that post-con high/hangover.

After years of planning and clearing most conflicts out of the way, my friend and I have finally managed to schedule another out-of-town convention trip like we used to do two years ago. This time, we decided to attend AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2018 Day 2.

Unfortunately, even with months of planning, some things just doesn't go the way we want it to.

Iinchou at Ai Expo 2017 Day 2

Second day of Ai Expo and I finally have the opportunity to debut my devil!Rin cosplay that I've been working on for a really long time.

It's quite an eventful day. My friends and I started out early so I ended up wearing my costume for more than seven hours. It was the longest time I've ever worn a cosplay to date and I'm surprised that nothing fell apart or got broken despite the many pieces of my costume and the con crowd I had to squeeze through. I even brought super glue, fabric glue, some threads and a needle because the costume really looks delicate but I'm happy I didn't have the need to use them.

Iinchou at Ai Expo 2017 Day 1

AI Expo or Anijou Iloilo Expo is an annual 2-day local hobby convention here in Iloilo City that focuses on arts, gaming and cosplay. The event took place last September 16-17 and I'm a little late with my posts because of organizing the devil!Rin worklog and getting too caught up in #inktober.

I'm going to make this a 2-part post, just so I can easily organize and separate my thoughts for each day.

From KorrAsami with Love; Iinchou goes to CosMania 2016

Finally after months of planning, my friend and I finally got the chance to do our dream OTP cosplay Korra and Asami. Since we live far away from each other, we rarely have a chance to do cosplays together (long distance and all) so we've been really looking forward to it.

I wanted to post Asami's worklog first but things just got pretty hectic before and after my trip that I only had time to sort this out today so I'll be going with this for the meantime instead.

K.K. @ TorCH Iloilo 2016

It really pays to give the costume a test run before debuting it on an event/shoot. The first time I wore my KK costume, I didn't have any idea how it would look like and while it didn't really turn out bad, there are some factors I haven't taken note of that needs to be anticipated.

TorCh(Tournament of Champions) Iloilo is a local cosplay event/competition in the city that took place last August 6. 2016 and I finally got the the opportunity to wear my KK cosplay again. After a few repairs and maintenance check, I'm really happy because of some improvements since the last time I wore it.

Cosplay Craze RWBY feels & meeting new friends

With the recent RWBY season 3 finale still fresh in my mind, this event has been quite an experience for me. I love the series so much and despite its popularity, it's quite uncommon to find such devoted fans right here in the area so seeing so many people getting excited over RWBY cosplays made me so proud to be a part of the RWBY community.

Con Journal: Iinchou goes to Cosmania 2015

Cosplay Mania is one of the biggest cosplay convention here in the Philippines. With guests coming from different parts of the globe, it's been one of the most highly anticipated cosplay event here in the country and I finally had the chance to attend the said event for the very first time.
